Cables Replaced
We replace both cables, oil and service your garage door. For £85, all inclusive.
Apex, Birtley, Bonsack, Cardale, Garador, Henderson, Hormann, King, Marley and Wessex, etc. Also cables with concrete weights. All for the same fair, affordable price.
Link Arms Replaced
These are the arms that attach the door to the frame, on some makes of door they also hold a pivot wheel, often a point of failure. Link arms are usually replaced singularly left or right.
Spindles Replaced
Early types, the wheels that the door runs on, are usually in a track mounted on the frame. it is possible to change just the wheels on some types, but in general it’s the whole spindle that we replace.
Anti Drop Spindles Replaced
These are found on the modern garage door and designed to lock into the frame after a cable failure stopping the door from falling and causing injury. Complicated pieces of equipment, these can be replaced one at a time or as a pair.
Locks And Handles Replaced
These range from very basic design on older doors to quite complicated on modern doors, early doors incorporated the lock and handle into one item, more modern doors have a separate lock and handle which means it’s not always necessary to replace everything. Sometimes we can just replace the lock barrel which is cheaper.
Garage Door Refurbishment
We replace everything apart from the door itself. The complete inner mechanism, which will give you many years more service for a fraction of the price of a new door. See out blog for more details.
Operator Fitting
We can replace your old worn-out operator, or supply and fit a new one to your manual garage door.
Operator Servicing
Over time the door and operator age, springs get weaker making doors heavier, and the automation stops working correctly, often reversing, and not obeying commands. We service the door, adjust the springs, and then reset your electric operator. Some firms just reset the operator without adjusting the springs which is a temporary fix but reduces the lifespan of your motor.
Garage Door Reframes
Over the years timber and metal frames can fail for a variety of reasons. Howard is a time served carpenter and with 90% of doors he can replace the frame, even some metal framed doors can be re hung on a timber frame.
Garage Door Fitting
There are some doors that can’t be saved, as much as we try. When this is the case, we can measure up your existing door and advise you where to buy a new one yourself. Howard will give you all the details you need to make sure it's suitable for the job, so you can purchase it yourself, at cost. We then give you an up-front price to remove the old door and install the new one. It might sound like too much hassle, but it is actually really easy and can save you over £500!
